Sketched in Procreate, Finalized in Adobe Illustrator

I’ve always had a fascination with the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair, and if I had a time machine it is probably the first place I would visit. I wanted to place myself in the fair, so I drew inspiration from past promotional material along with cartoon styles of the time when creating this portait.

I sketched out my concept in Procreate before moving into Adobe Illustrator where I completed the base of the piece. I played with adding a paper texture overtop after to give it a “worn” look, similar to the actual postcards found today.
